A co-parenting app, built by a co-parent.
Hi, I’m Sander. I’ve felt the weight of coordinating life for my kids across two homes. I was surprised to find no tools exist for the real, daily work co-parents actually navigate. Co-parenting between homes is common now, and every family doing it deserves real support. I’m building Village so they can live in the moment and plan for the future, unburdened by the logistics of sharing custody.
Joint custody isn’t how I imagined parenting my kids. For a lot of co-parents, that shift in expectations is hard, and it can keep us from seeing what a settled life of two homes could look like on the other side. The work of managing kids’ needs between homes is genuinely overwhelming, and it can lead to friction even when both parents have the best intentions.
It’s rarely one big thing. It’s the steady accumulation: doubling back for a forgotten item, the string of messages just to confirm one small schedule change, the sense that the balance of work has tipped. The strange part is how much of parenting can quietly become logistics, until the coordinating crowds out the connection it was supposed to protect.
On their own, none of these are crises. Together, and left unaddressed, they add up: time spent patching over mistakes, money on gas and things bought twice, and the quiet strain that grows when two people are each carrying too much. The one thing I never want is for my kids to feel any of it. They’re kids. The remembering was never meant to be theirs.
When I went looking for a co-parenting app that could handle shared calendars, custody schedules, and the everyday logistics of raising kids between two homes, nothing fit. What I found was either too generic to make a real difference, or built for families in deep legal conflict. None of it addressed the daily logistics of caring for the kids at the center of it all. So I built Village. Nothing was made to smooth the edges of the very common and complicated world of joint custody. I wanted something for families like mine. Families simply trying to coordinate well and keep the focus on their kids. So I’m building it.
A maker at heart.
Before Village, I spent almost fifteen years building guitars by hand. That work shapes how I build anything: carefully, with respect for the details and the people who’ll use it. I’m building Village with that same commitment. I needed it for my own family, and I believe it can make co-parenting better for families everywhere.
Space to just parent
With Village, most of the coordination happens without a word. The follow-ups and reminders get handled, and keeping everyone current stops living in your head. What’s left is space. Room to be present with your kids, to plan for the life ahead, and to parent from a place of attunement instead of catch-up.
Two homes, one childhood
I believe co-parenting can be more than a logistical truce. With the right tools, two homes don’t divide a childhood, they widen it. Two homes that run like one team, and kids who feel held by everyone who loves them, no matter whose day it is. That belief is the foundation of every part of Village.
Private by design
Your family’s information belongs to your family. Everything you keep in Village is held securely and never sold, and nothing leaves your circle without your say. You stay in control of who sees what, who’s invited in, and when, always. It’s the care I want for my own kids, and the standard I hold Village to.
